The Sustainable Livelihoods Strategy and Programme needs to be developed for the City of Cape Town. This will include the strategy document as well as the programme for the implementation of this strategy.
Included will be a set of criteria to identify appropriate livelihoods interventions and the associated target communities, as well as examples of suitable interventions with specifically identified community groups.
This strategy will focus on the development of sustainable livelihoods for the poor, through the sustainable utilisation of the natural resources of the City.
