The University of Johannesburg in association with the National Association for Clean Air is presenting a short course on the CALPUFF Dispersion Modelling System. This course is being presented by the US developers of the model. The presenters of the course are international experts and will provide a detailed understanding on the use of the model, inputs into the model and proper interrogation of outputs from this model.
Participants in the course have a detailed understanding of the inputs required by the model, limitations of the application of the model and a detailed understanding of how to interrogate the outputs of the model. These skills will allow officials to technically review and comment on specialist air quality impact assessments. The skills learnt on the course will also allow officials to start undertaking dispersion modeling for internal projects.
